Forgive me Barack Obama

Dear Barack,

I remember 8 years ago, I was elated as you stepped into the highest office of this country.  Our hearts were filled with so much hope and excitement.

Today, I ask for your forgiveness.  I left you there on the steps of the White House.  Forgive me for not participating in your Presidency.  I abandoned you to your high office.  I sat back as if ready to be entertained, expecting you to work miracles and fix our country of greed and inequality.

It has taken the shock of an unbelievable election, a new President, who I disagree with on almost every issue, to wake me up to what is mine to do for my country.

I have been called to wake up, to step up, to take my place and to do my part.

For the last 6 months I have been called to pray.  My spiritual community has joined me in that call and weekly we have been holding the high watch for Divine Government;  a  government of Love and Compassion.

Thanks Barack for reminding us that the greatest role in democracy is citizen.  So I stand as a citizen of the United States of America and hold this country to the high calling of its divine purpose of Light and Freedom for all.

I stand tall in the divine authority, which is given to all of us, as a Galactic Citizen and I call daily upon the Angelic and the Elemental Kingdoms to assist us in the biggest transformation this country has ever seen.

I make a vow today and I want you to be my witness, that I will not complain, judge or gossip about what appears to be going on in America.  I will continue to hold the high watch of prayer, because that’s what is mine to do.

I will call my fellow citizens to be empowered in what is theirs to do to make this change.  I will ask of them what is their calling in helping to establish a New America and a New Earth?  And to help establish a government that is for the people and by the people.

I will deeply miss you and Michelle being in the White House.

I thank you both for the elegance and dignity that you have gracefully held.  You have continually modeled the high road for us.

I gratefully stand next to you both as a fully participating citizen of the Unites States of America and the Galaxy.

In deep appreciation and gratitude,

My fellow citizens, what is yours to do in establishing a New America and a New Earth?  I’d love to know.  Please post below.

Beautiful Jennifer. I have joined a group and am very active in the racial justice movement. It just might be that the beauty which springs forward out of this darkness is absolutely perfect and right on time. Love that you have included angels and elementals in your work. Not too long ago that would have been a taboo in our circles. Love and Blessings, Todd

A beautiful letter Jennifer. I too disagree with our new President, but I commit to pray for him. I also commit to look differently at his presidency by learning to love him. This will change both of us.

Thank you for this Jennifer! It is always interesting what wakes us up. What impulse propels us into action. At this time in human history. What know his name.

My work is to continue to be a voice for Nature…a voice often left out completely from the political discourse and promised to be trampled upon by those leading the next administration in DC. So my role us to be that voice consistently, while asking others who care about the birds, the butterflies, the wildflowers, the trees, and, yes, the Grizzlies, to join with me so our voices for Nature become a beautiful chorus.

I stand today as always for and with PEACE and LOVE, in my earthly endeavors as a woman, wife, mother of four, polar scientist and light worker practitioner. My work is the mighty work of being peaceful and loving no matter what role I am currently living and to be who I am and thus perhaps inspire others to be and do the same!

I don’t understand. Why is there no praise for our new President and family? You don’t even mention their names. I’m not sure if you are meaning to disrespectful, but it kind of feels that way to me.

I should have stood with him when he was being Dealing with obstruction From Congress! I should have raised my voice when the Congress showed deep disrespect not allowing him to do his job as a seated President and nominate a Supreme Court Justice. I should have but sadly I did not. I could have written this article …

Thank you for being the one to echo my exact sentiments, Jennifer. I did the exact same thing…I celebrated in joy and excitement the election of Barack Obama, then did not participate in his presidency. Soon after he was elected, I became rather disenfranchised from the normal flow of life by the crash of the economy, which is a situation that harnesses all of one’s attention.
I do believe, however, that no matter how distressed we may be with the election that just took place and the lack of qualities that we would like to see in a president, this man has come to be the agent of change for our political system, as I’m sure you’re aware of, as well. Whether he knows this or not, he has been anointed, if you will, with the job of creating change in all the aspects of our world that need stirring up and shaking apart. I only hope that the change he evokes will ultimately be cause for positive celebration, even if, in the short term, it looks like something quite different. You are quite right in sending him blessings and prayers…we also have to send Love…it will be the change that we are able to effect to soften his hard edge. I will pray with you! In the meantime, I, too, was so sad to see the exit of the Obamas. This country was blessed with his presidency, but he was prevented from making the most of it. Hopefully, in the future, such a gifted human being will be able to do what he really intended for this country and the world. Blessings to you!
